Roman overwhelms Farias in three rounds

Mexican, Miguel “Mickey” Roman overwhelmed Argentine, Juan José “Pericote” Farias, in round three of the undercard of “Viva Mexico” at the Gym Miguel Hidalgo in Puebla City, Mexico.

Stocky, and unelegent, Roman, was ruthlessly range finding to drop the bomb. It could have all ended in the dying embers of round one. A massive Roman catapulted overhand thunderbolt right, had Farias shaken stirred, stunned, befuddled….and it stopped him stock still in his tracks. Everyone momentarily hesitated, but somehow Juan Jose was able to collect his wits, move out of the way and incredibly survive.

It was only delaying the enviable! Having tasted heavy hell for leather, the Argentinian prudently drew on his not inconsiderable boxing skills in a desperate evasion mission.

A walloping left hook to the liver drove him to the ring post and as he turned his back a glancing right caught him to the side of his head. He’d been imperially beaten from pillar to post, Experienced American Referee, Curtis Thrasher with his shock of red hair and snow white Jefferson Davis goatee beard, moved in aptly and swiftly to stop, what could have transformed into a legion Roman wielding slaughter.

After the match, Roman stressed that  he wants to fight for  the WBC Super Featherweight championship against oh so tough Japanese samurai Takashi Miura.
