Tomoki Kameda hails from Tokyo, Japan whilst fighting and training in Mexico. His alias is “El Mexicanito” whilst his record of 30-0, 19KO’s and his fan friendly style has made him a fans favorite. Now the boxing fans around the globe are slowly starting to notice this little Japanese fighter, and appreciate his Mexican all action style.

Kameda’s recent victories over Pungluang Sor Singyu and Paulus Ambunda have established him as a top fighter in his division and he currently holds the honour of being the WBO world champion.

He is in a hot division at this moment in time with boxers like Shinsuke Yamanaka, Anselmo Moreno and veteran Joseph Agbeko and he can look forward to some tough, big fights.

His brother Koki Kameda, ranked above Tomoki, would be an interesting fight but like heavyweight kings Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, we probably won’t be seeing that fight anytime soon. For now the focus for Kameda is on Alejandro Hernandez who he faces this weekend.

Hopefully after he has dispatched of Hernandez this week we will then see why this young ‘Mexican’ like fighter is the man the boxing world has grown to adore.

The dream fight we would all like to see of course is Kameda vs. Yamanaka – that however is a little away.
