Sergio Mora 28-3-2 9KO’s won a hard fought split decision against the tough Abie Han 23-2 14KO’s in fight that saw him on the canvas with 53 seconds left in the tenth round from a three punch combination that caught him between the shoulder and neck.

Mora boxed well in the early rounds using feints and landing right hands then turning and moving out. Han would get inside then move out and circle Mora switching from orthodox to southpaw to no real effect.

Han started to heat up in the later rounds getting in close and staying inside to hammer Mora to the body with left hooks that slowed the Latin Snake down. The final two rounds saw Han in more control of the fight and landing punches while Mora was visibly tired and moving much slower on his feet.

Official scores were 114-113, 115-112, 115-112

Erickson Lubin 9-0 6KO’s was dominant in a unanimous decision victory over former TopRank prospect Michael Finney 12-2-1 10KO’s. Lubin used superior speed and footwork to get in and out on Finney who started slow and never really got much going. Lubin looked sharp and did whatever he wanted to a Finney that looked out of shape as he took the fight on one days’ notice.

Lubin has some good upside to him as he punches well in combination, controls the distance and uses good footwork keeping his lead foot on the outside to keep his southpaw stance in position. With a few defensive improvements Lubin could be ready to start stepping up the competition in a few fights.

All three judges scored the fight 80-72

Ahmed Elbiali 9-0 0KO’s maintained his perfect record in another devastating knockout of Dustin Echard 10-1 1NC 7KO’s. Elbiali showed thunderous power in his right hand knocking Echard down and out of the ring in the second round. Echard made it to his feet and climbed back in over the ropes but looked to be out of it and unaware of his surroundings, as referee Bill Clancy rubbed his gloves off on his shirt then held his hand up and said box Echard didn’t pay attention to a charging Elbiali that came in throwing bombs. Amazingly referee Bill Clancy jumped between the two not to stop the fight but to break the fighters that were not in a clinch.Elbiali then pounced on a dazed Echard that yelled “what are you doing!” prompting the referee to finally call a halt to the action.

Looking very promising and displaying good power Elbiali is quickly becoming a TV friendly prospect that should be exciting to watch.
