Sunderland’s Jonson McClumpha (7-0-1) goes into the lion’s den on Saturday when he takes on Dronfield’s Lewis Taylor (14-0-1) at Sheffield’s Hillsbrough Leisure Centre in an English title eliminator. Both men go into the contest believing they are the better man and both camps are confident ahead of the clash.

It is a step up for both men and with the fight beamed live on Box Nation, it provides the unbeaten pair opportunity to really stake a claim in what is arguably Britain’s strongest division in terms of quality and depth. The winner will move on to fight for the English title and although a loss would not be the end of the road, it’s great to see boxers who are prepared to put their unbeaten record on the line.
