Abdul Khattab (8-0, 3 KOs) will face a tough task against Salvatore Annunziata 17-7-6, 3 KOs) at the Nordic Fight Night on November 29 at the Falconer Hall at Radisson Blu in Copenhagen.
Khattab is back in action after a convincing point victory over Goran Milenkovic in September. The talented middleweight has respect for his Italian opponent ten years his senior, but does not fear him.
“Annunziata is a very good technical boxer and no doubt he will be my toughest opponent to date. But that’s how it should be. That’s how I like it. My opponents should get tougher and tougher as I progress,” said the 21 year-old, Khattab.
For the first time in his career, Khattab will be fighting an eight round contest.
“I have adapted my training to prepare for an eight round fight. I’m not going to come rushing out from the first bell and go for a quick knockout. I have studied Annunziata well and I know what to expect. He comes forward at full speed and is very aggressive, so I have to control him, keep the distance and make him fight at my pace and at my rhythm.
“He may have had more fights than me, gone more rounds, but I believe I’m the better boxer, and I’m ready for the step up.’’
