Former Commonwealth and British Champion John O’ Donnell is back under the bright lights in a show stealing fight as he faces Shayne Singleton in a British title eliminator on the David Haye vs Mark De Mori undercard at the O2 arena on January 16th live on Dave.
O’Donnell pulls no punches as he aims to regain the British welterweight title and take on the top contenders, “I am going to walk straight through Singleton and take him apart, he’s making it out to be some massive kingpin fight, for me it’s just another walk in the park!”
The Irish southpaw believes the occasion will get to Singleton and not to him, due to the Irishman having numerous bouts on huge shows in the UK and USA. “I’ve been on some massive shows in my career. Mayweather, De La Hoya, Carl Froch shows just to name a few, I’ve also topped Wembley Arena. Shayne is in awe of the occasion, it’s his biggest show, for me it’s another day in the office.”
O’Donnell has his sights set on major honours in 2016 and believes Singleton will not be coming in his way. “Listen, I would smash Eggington, look at what he did to Shayne imagine what I will do, I can’t see anything that can trouble me from Singleton.”
Tune in for the televised chief support and the main fight between David Haye and Mark De Mori on Dave, January 16th at the O2 Arena.
