HAYE VS. BELLEW: THE GLOVES ARE OFF –– AN ALL-YOU-NEED-TO-KNOW GUIDE

David Haye and Tony Bellew clash in their heavyweight showstopper next weekend and sparks are sure to fly.

But before that Sky Sports cameras have been recording a behind-the-scenes meeting between the pair for their The Gloves Are Off programme, which has become a staple feature for Box Office fights.

Hosted by Johnny Nelson, the pair sat in a darkened room, exchanging verbals and filing had to be stopped more than once.

We’ve seen the likes of Anthony Joshua and Eric Molina take part in such programmes, and there was one between heavyweight rivals Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora before their December clash at Manchester Arena, but this episode of the show could turn out to be the feistiest yet.

When is Haye vs Bellew: The Gloves Are Off?

The programme will be shown this Sunday, February 26, at 7pm.

The Gloves Are Off will be aired on Sky Sports 1.

Sky Sports subscribers can watch it as part of their subscription or a Sky Sports pass can be purchased for those without the relevant package.

What is Haye vs. Bellew: The Gloves Are Off?

This Sky Sports special shows the two fighters have a war of words in front of the cameras. It was filmed in January and there were one or two flashpoints which are expected to be shown during the broadcast.

It sounds familiar because the two have had a lot of back and forth ahead of their 12-round fight.

But the unique selling point of this special, according to Sky Sports, is that nothing is scripted and it’s just the two men going at it, albeit after one waited for the other to arrive.

Of course nothing compares to the real thing –– and this fight could be one of Bellew’s final bouts after he admitted earlier this week that he wants to be out of the sport within the next 12 months.

But as far as build-up goes, it should be pretty hard to beat.

When is Haye vs. Bellew?
