GOODWIN boxing

Hold onto your seats as Josh Goodwin for Goodwin Sports presents five ten round title fights this Saturday at York Hall, Bethnal Green which features some 50/50 fights that boxing fans are crying out for.

4 times Masters Champion Lee Markham defends his British Masters Gold Super-Middleweight title against former Commonwealth Champion Bradley Pryce. This is cracking fight and one that poses Markham’s toughest test to date whilst Pryce is looking for a way back into the big time. Markham is mandatory for Frank Buglioni’s Southern Area title but with the Buglioni team turning down a substantial offer to box Markham for the Southern Area title it is likely Buglioni may vacate. Lee however is not looking past Pryce. “I respect Bradley for everything he has done in boxing and this will be no easy fight.”

A grudge match for the British Masters Gold Light-Middleweight title which also doubles as a final eliminator for the southern Area strap sees former Prizefighter Champion Michael Lomax take on former Southern Area Champion Chas Symonds. Chas has been very vocal in the build up labelling Lomax as “shot” and promising to take him out in 6 rounds. Lomax has said he will end Symonds’ career and has said he doubts he will turn up and make weight. A real 50/50 fight with plenty of animosity in it serves as a mouth watering clash for the fans.

The fighting Brothers Andreas “The Ace” and Chris “The Flash” Evangelou both fight for International Masters titles on the same show. Andreas takes on Ivan Stupalo (7-5) from Croatia for the Light-Heavyweight title and Chris takes on Zoran Cvek from the same country for the Welterweight belt.

Finally the all action “Smokin” Joe Mullender takes on Latvian Ruslans Pojonisevs for the International Masters Super-Middleweight title.

Four four rounders provide the support for the five ten rounders. “The General” Aji Sharif (2-0) takes on Mitch Mitchell at Cruiserweight.

“The Sensation” Ben Hall (3-0) takes on Harjinder Gill at Light-Heavyweight whilst two Goodwin fighters are making their debuts. Hemel Hempstead’s  19 year old Jordan Joseph takes on Scott Douglas (1-1) at Super Middleweight whilst Matthew Chanda takes on Anwar Alfadi at Super-Bantamweight.
