20 year old Middleweight Sean Robinson today became the latest amateur prospect to turn professional and ink a three year deal with Steve Goodwin and Goodwin Boxing.
Middleweight Robinson hails from Ealing in West London and had a fine amateur career with Dale Youth and Hooks ABC winning over two -thirds of his contests and with a style more suited to the professional ranks cannot wait to get started on his journey.
“I achieved what I achieved in the amateurs despite my style not because of it. I will be training with Terry Steward in Buckhurst Hill. My elder brother Luke signed with Steve last year and it was an easy decision to sign with Steve. He really looks after his fighters and is going from strength to strength having English Champions and now with Frank Buglioni under his watch going for the British title. He is innovative, helps boxers promotionally to sell tickets and gives us a great platform.”
Steve was delighted “It is fantastic that boxers the quality of Sean want to sign with us. We are never complacent and work really hard with every single boxer under my management creating the profile and opportunities they need. Sean is only 20 and is in it for the long haul. He will be built gradually into title contention and we cannot wait to watch his development”.
